The Oyo State Government today denied authorizing the demolition of the N800 million music house owned by gospel artiste, Yinka Ayefele, which took place in the early hours of yesterday August 19th and is planning to set up a panel of inquiry to find out those responsible for the demolition.
Alliyu told the court that his clients were shocked to read about the reported demolition on Sunday morning as they did not authorize it. According to him, the state government is planning to set up a panel of inquiry to find out those responsible for the demolition.
According to the statement released by the Special Adviser, Physical Planning and Development Control to the state governor, Abiola Ajimobi, Tpl Waheed Gbadamosi, the building occupied more land than was approved, had a radio mast which was not in the approval issued, toilets
, also kitchen were built on the wall of the building and many others.The statement also adds that the building approval was issued for a proposed office complex and not a Radio station.
Recall a while ago, the state government had revealed their plans of demolishing the building stating that it is on the right-of-way for the planned 8-lane road expansion in Ibadan.
