A city in China is planning to launch an ‘artificial moon’ that will light up the skies as far as 50 miles around. The so-called illumination satellite set to deploy over the southwestern city of Chengdu in 2020 is touted to be eight times as bright as the real moon, to cast a ‘dusk-like glow’ over the region, according to the People’s Daily. Officials have released few details on the project.
Wu Chunfend, chairman of Chengdu Aerospace Science and Technology Microelectronics System Research Institute Co., Ltd, revealed the plan at an event in the city in October, People’s Daily reports.
It will complement the moon to make Chengu’s night skies brighter when it launches in 2020, potentially serving as a replacement to conventional streetlights.
The artificial moon can be controlled
to light up an area between 10 and 80 kilometers wide 6 to 50 miles.GUYS, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I don't agree that it's sin. I think it's our unserious attitude. In the theory of development, entertainment comes last, that is after stability in the growth and development. But Nigerians want to start with entertainment. Do you think it will work? Do you know the sacrifice the China citizens made to become what they become? Do you know the difficult laws made by Chairman Mao Tsen dhong which they are benefiting from today.
But we want leaders that will operate on CHOP I CHOP style and we want growth. It's not possible.
Sebi we don't want the Old School president because we are hungry (though he's trying to put Nigeria on a new track to development)
The steps in development are:
1. Feed yourself
2. Export agricultural products and raw materials
3. Produce finished products
4. Produce more for exportation
5. Go into higher technology
6. Entertainment (then maintain your achievements)
Just 4 years of trying to produce agricultural products we are tired and want to go back to those who destroyed the Nation.
My brother, it's not SIN oo. Even God will be laughing at us when we make the mistake again.

Bros, you post is well said. But you spoilt everything by saying "...old school president because we are hungry...". Indeed we are very hungry, when the old school president is very bias without and iota of shame, when the old school president is busy appointing folks in respect to the significant role they play by putting him there, old school president that is not innovative like China but conservative like african pelican bird, old school president that has shown us is not by education.
For adoption of technology or diffusion of innovation to take place in Nigeria, we must get it right politically. So my brother ain't sure you're a Nigerian...

We are at liberty to choose anyone we like. But there's consequence for everything. Don't let's blame God for the outcome
