Dementia is a general term for loss of memory and other mental abilities severe enough to interfere with daily life. It is caused by physical changes in the brain. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia, but there are many kinds.

Nigerians React As President Buhari hands over APC Flag of honor to Delta State "presidential candidate" "senatorial candidate" "governortorial candidate"
Buhari was to hand over the party's flag to the Delta State governorship candidate of the party. However, he said: "I am handing over this flag of honour to our presidential candidate." When the man to his left corrected him, saying "gubernatorial", Buhari responded with "to our senatorial candidate". Again, the man corrected him, saying "gubernatorial". This time, Buhari said: "governortorial candidate".

In reaction to this public display of dementia by Buhari, a Public Affairs analysts Farooq Kperogi wrote via his Twitpresidentelry single day, Buhari shows tell-tale signs of dementia. He can't tell a presidential candidate, a senatorial candidate & a gubernatorial candidate apart. If Nigeria were a functional nation, the National Assembly would've declared him incapacitated & removed him from office"

President Buhari Forgets The Year He Was Petroleum Minister. President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday mixed up the dates of his assumption and relinquishing of office as Nigeria’s former Petroleum Minister. Speaking in Warri, Delta State, at the presidential campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Buhari said he was Petroleum Minister from 1978 to 1979.
“I am impressed by what previous speakers have said, especially the Minister of State for Petroleum who told you what we have been able to do in Delta State, because he happens to come from here and he happens to be my Junior Minister as Minister of petroleum Resources,” Buhari told the audience. “Since 1984, or 78 to 79 when I was the Minister, I never lost interest in the petroleum industry."
Similarly,
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council in Ekiti State has said that if not for lack of conscience, those still supporting the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari will go to bed last night, covering themselves with blanket of shame after seeing the President’s scandalous performance on NTA programme, ‘The Candidates.’
The State Campaign Council Director of Media and Publicity, Lere Olayinka, in a statement on Thursday morning, ,said, “almost all questions had to be interpreted to the President while he talked off-point throughout; answering no question appropriately to the extent that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo became so embarrassed and agitated that he tried to help him answer questions that was asked him. “It was so terrible that the moderator had to tell the Vice President to allow President Buhari to talk for himself.”

To start with, he was not even qualify to be a LG councillor not to talk of being a president of the largest black nation in the world. When Madam Patience Jonathan called him a dead brain before the 2015 election, we all cried foul and crucified her. But from the look of things now, I wouldn't say she was right but close to the truth

Some years back, the president of Tunisia, Bourguiba started displaying some strange behaviour. Sometime, he will forget the names of his children or mistake one minister for the other. But his entourage refused to admit that he was no longer fit for the job because of their selfish interest. But, at the end, one of his aides General Ben Ali overthrew him, citing his mental incapacity.

Nigeria is a country where mediocrity has come to stay. Why are we complaining of our President who was elected by mediocres. The average Nigerian man or woman in the office is not qualified for that position yet she's occupying it because of nepotism and mediocrity. Please Buhari should be voted in again because every nation has the leaders it deserves. Until we stop putting a square peg in a round hole, Nigeria will remain underdeveloped.
