Speaking on why she is running for the office of the presidency, Okunnu-Lamidi said;
“I am running for the office of the President because I believe Nigeria can harness its potential to be the nation of our dreams. We can moved from a third world country into a developed nation with innovation and technology.
Her father, Femi Okunnu, SAN, served as a Federal Commissioner of Works and Housing from 1967 to 1974.

Throughout the history of Nigeria, Khadijah Okunnu is the first woman to contest for a presidential position. On the 3rd of January, 2022, Khadijah Okunnu Lamidi declared her interest to the general public to become the next president of Nigeria.
She disclosed her interest at a media conference in Lagos. She made it known that she wants to go for that position because she sees a better future for her country, Nigeria. Okunnu further reveals that she had the undoubted power to bring the youths together, which would lead to unleashing great potentials in the country.
Khadijah attended the University of Lagos Staff School & Childville School, Yaba for her primary education. SHe proceeded to Atlantic Hall School Maryland for her secondary education. She presently holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (Hons) from the University of Bolton (RAK Campus in the United Arab Emirates). She also bagged a Masters’s degree in Strategic Project Management (SPM) from HeriotWatt University, Dubai.
