Pastor Creflo Dollar Tells Members He Mislead Them About Tithing

Popular American Pastor Creflo Dollar Tells His Worshippers To Destroy Videos & Audios Of Him Preaching About Tithes, Says He Was Very Wrong. He Lied About Everything
'I was wrong'- US clergyman Creflo Dollar denounces his position on tithing, asks his followers to destroy every book and tape he has ever written and preached on tithing because it's not biblical .

US clergyman, Creflo Dollar, has denounced his position on tithing. For many years, Creflo had preached on the importance of Tithing and had informed his congregation that failing to tithe opens the door for devourers to come in and destroy a person's life.

Speaking to his congregation recently, Creflo mentioned that he was still growing even as a preacher and went on to ask his members to destroy every book and tape he has ever written and preached on tithing because it's not biblical.

''The teachings that I have shared in the time past on the subject of tithing were not correct and today I stand in humility to correct somethings that I have taught for years and believed for years but could never understand it clearly because I have not yet been confronted with the gospel of grace which has made the difference.

I have no shame at all saying to you, throw away every book, tape and video I ever did on the subject of tithing..unless it alines with this''

He said religion is sustained by two factors, fear and guilt and that if there is one subject that the church has used for a long time to keep people in fear and guilt, it is in the subject of Tithing.

Here's my comment:
Well, tithing and the need for it was fulfilled since there was a change in the priesthood of our salvation. Now we have only one high priest Jesus who demanded no tithes. Your giving too he said; is not for the most ranked or the most respected among men, but for the miserable, for the needy, the ones who cannot repay you. Not the so called special men or fertile soil as they preach today. When when you give as Jesus prescribed, YOU ARE LENDING TO GOD. And when you do otherwise, you have received your reward.
No ceremonial giving, no first fruits, no form of special contributions but just showing passion and compassion on the needy and the helpless. Jesus went further to say when you hold a feast, don't invite your rich friends or could invite you back but to thos who in your own estimation has no capacity to repay.

Men of God should have their own private work too and not depend solely on tithes and offerings. Church should not be a business venture.

If our Imams and pastors learn from his decision I have no doubt that we should follow in a right path. He is honorable man.

Endy, he didn't say RELIGION is sustained by fear and guilt, but rather their teachings on both, and other matters. Apart from this issue of tithing, the next thing that brethrens eyes will be opened about is this infallibility and worshipping of ministers, beginning with their being called daddy, papa etc. Contextually, daddy will always be right, even when he is wrong.
