Hollywood families have officially become in-laws as Jasmin Lawrence, daughter of actor Martin Lawrence, and Eric Murphy, son of comedy legend Eddie Murphy, recently tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony.
Murphy shared that while both families had initially been preparing for a grand wedding, Eric and Jasmin ultimately chose a low-key celebration of their love. The actor joked that Martin Lawrence was likely relieved, as the long-running playful debate between the two friends over who would pay for the wedding was rendered moot by the couple’s decision.
Jasmin Lawrence, whose mother is former beauty queen Patricia Southall, and Eric Murphy, the son of Eddie Murphy and Paulette McNeely, announced their engagement the day before Thanksgiving last year after dating for three years.
