cast: According to the definition set forth by Google, Chromecast is a HDMI
dongle which stream music and video to your Television using your android
device as a controller when connects directly to your TV as long as your TV
have a spare HDMI port.
This device comes with a wall- outlet connector and a small HDMI extension
cable as it requires power to function which can be provided by either
connecting to a wall outlet or to your TV via a USB port.
CONNECTING CHROMECAST TO YOUR TV
Plug it into a free HDMI port at the back of your TV and start charging it [Either connecting to a wall outlet or Via a USB port at the back of your TV]. Switch on your TV and change its input to the same HDMI input that your chromecast is connected to.
DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING DEDICATED CHROMECAST APP
Visit www.chromecast.com/setup from your android tablet or phone after you have finish connecting chromecast to your Tv to download/install chromecast dedicated application. Fire up the application, From the menu using the three dashes at the top left locate the devices option and tap to scan the network for your chromecast dongle. The chromecast device name will be displayed both on your smartphone and Tv screen once it is discovered.
SETTING UP CHROMECAST
Tap set-up and select your country, Tap i see the code to verify that a code is being shared between both device. Select your wireless router from list and enter password, chromecast will connect and downlload the latest software version if there is and install it.

CASTING VIDEO
Here i will only explain how to play a youtube video on your Tv but the process are the same for other video sites like Netflix, HBO GO, WatchESPN and Pandora. When you use certain applications like youtube on your android phone or tablet, Chromecast icon will appear, Tap on this icon and the video will be automatically transfer to your television screen. It's worth noting that Chromecast is HD compatible and so the video will play in the highest resolution available. You can consider your smartphone as your remote control as long as chromecast is involve. The Chromecast application runs in the background and you can use other applications simultaneously without interrupting the video.
