Jubilation As India Supreme Court Rules That Gay Sex Is No Longer A Crime

In a historic decision, India's Supreme Court has ruled that gay sex is no longer a criminal offence. The ruling overturns a 2013 judgement that upheld a colonial-era law, known as section 377, under which gay sex is categorised as an "unnatural offence".
The court has now ruled discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is a fundamental violation of rights. Campaigners outside the court cheered and some broke down in tears as the ruling was handed down. Although public opinion in India's biggest cities has been in favour of scrapping the law, there remains strong opposition among religious groups and in conservative rural communities.
The court said other aspects of section 377 dealing with unnatural sex with animals and children would remain in force.
The judges also explicitly said that they only ruled on the constitutional validity of section 377 and were not looking at it in terms of other rights such as those related
to marriage or inheritance.

India with a population of over a billion has consented to gay marriages? A large number of that population would be gay. That portends danger....

It's barbaric, satanic, moronic, destructive, in fact it is highly against the will of God and he who go against the will of God like this manner will surely be dealt with like Sodom and Gomorah., what an irrational, shameful act!

I'm not surprised sha, all these their movies & saop operas showing across pay tv all over the world trying to prove they're decent is all a farce after all. And if you can recall, the highest & deadliest cases of rape takes place in India, so I think d ruling is nothing to be surprised about. They jst got themselves a one way ticket to being a popular nation negatively!

Dont say, 'majority of indians'.... say that the indians that the international news media's showed were happy but it is erroneously misleading to paint that as a picture of mass acceptance of the court VERDICT.

The international news media has a way of painting and colouring news item's to the public in a way that will further suit their evil interest and agenda.

There are millions of Indians who are strictly against that law and practices of homosexuality or lesbianism, therefore in reporting news that should always be pointed out as well so as not to make it seem like, you are protecting or projecting a certain interest against the many others.

Homosexuality and lesbianism; are both against any sane thinking, natural order, God's ultimate design and disgusting, this is irrespective of the shallow arguments of those who think otherwise.

Foreign media wants the world and Africans especially to erroneously believe that 'ALL INDIANS' (Instead of saying the TRUTH that only some indians of the gay/lesbian community) were very very happy at the said judgement and the implication is that African countries should begin to accept the possibility of decriminalizing such abominable acts in their respective countries too, and this form of subtle but gradual mental colonization should be seen as very offensive by the people of India.
