The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has reacted to a trending video of former militant, Tompolo, being sprayed money at an event.

Over the weekend, Nigerians dared EFCC operatives to arrest the former militant after the video made the rounds on social media.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has elected a consultant psychiatrist at the University of Jos Teaching Hospital, Prof. Chris Piwuna, as its next president.

Piwuna, who is also the Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Jos, takes over from Victor Osodeke, a Professor of Soil Science from the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State.

The decision was taken at the 23rd National Delegates Congress of the Union, which took place in Benin on Sunday.

 An 18-year-old apprentice has allegedly impregnated 10 girls in just five months, including his master’s daughter and a salesgirl in Anambra State.

Reports say he was first sent to learn a trade under a master, but within three months, he got both his boss’s daughter and a salesgirl pregnant.

EFCC Finally Grants VeryDarkMan Administraive Bail

 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in the exercise of its mandate of tackling economic and financial crimes, invited Martins Vincent Otse owing to a series of petitions bordering on sundry issues of alleged financial crimes raised against him. He refused to show up in spite of several invitations sent to him through his known addresses and medium of communication. The petitions pertain to grave allegations of financial malfeasance which cannot be ignored by the Commission.

It is needful to admit that the Commission is aware of several unguarded attacks of the suspect against its operations. While such conduct is condemnable, his arrest was not informed by such attacks. The relevant law enforcement agency will be allowed to look into them.

74 Homeless Persons Have Been Arrested In Lagos Under Bridge

 

Seventy-four persons including homeless people have been arrested by men of the Lagos State Environmental Taskforce raided some parts of Lagos Island today May 5.

The state Commission for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, shared a video showing the arrests of some persons including an elderly man who takes shelter under one of the bridges.

Wahab mentioned that they will be arraigned in court soon.

CAC To Arrest Business Owners Operating Without Registration

 

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has issued a six-week notice to unregistered businesses to register with the Commission as part of requirements of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA).

In a circular issued on Tuesday in Abuja, the commission said after the ultimatum, it would take necessary action against erring offenders who fail to comply.
