Notable national leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party were, on Friday in Abuja, teargassed by the Police while protesting over what they called the crooked way the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Police had been rigging elections in favour of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Those who were teargassed were the National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus; President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki; Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal; and the Governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwambo.
Meanwhile, Senate president, Bukola Saraki, has denied media reports claiming he has stepped down from the presidential race. There were reports online earlier today that Saraki had stepped down from the PDP presidential primaries for Atiku Abubakar.
''It is important to debunk the rumors going round today to the effect that he was stepping down fro some other persons. Dr Saraki has not stepped down, Dr Saraki will not step down for anybody. He is not in any conversation and he will not broker any conversation to step down for any other candidate'' he said
The PDP presidential primaries will hold in Rivers state from Tomorrow October 6-7th.

For me to Vote Saraki I ll rather mobilise for PMB. Saraki has nothing to offer 9ja than his personal Interest. They Pushed GEJ out hoping PMB ll be easy to kicked out any time they want.
