According to Channels Television, the National President of the union, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, announced this on Thursday during a press briefing at the Nigeria Labour Congress complex in Abuja.

The striking lecturers took the decision after a meeting with representatives of the Federal Government led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige. TVC has earlier reported that, the federal government and the striking University teachers have finally signed an agreement, raising hope of an end to the three months old strike.

to those that care to think in line with me, I personally think the strike was not called off just because the necessary issues have been solved to a reasonable conclusion but because they want students who registered for PVC in their respective schools to be able to vote in the. coming elections...the politicians are the ones winning here and the same issues will come up stronger again by the time election is done with.
