The Anambra State Government has commenced the registration of Fulani herdsmen, aimed at checking the farmers-herdsme
Eze-Amama said the enumeration process will help in an easy identification whenever there is a crisis.
He said, “The enumeration will assist the cattle menace control committee to fish out the bad eggs from the Fulani herdsmen in Anambra state.”
Alhaji Gidado Siddiki, South-East chairman of Miyetti Allah hailed the initiative and also urged herdsmen to respect their host communities as erring individuals will be punished accordingly.

This registration of a thing may be misconstrued and other states will start asking non indegenes in other proffessions to register in those states too. The important thing here is that government should show the political will to go after herdsmen weilding guns in the forest. It is a crime to bear firearms in Nigeria except one is licenced. Secondly no herdsmen should come close to community farm lands, they should limit their herds to the thick forests, if these two are done, we are home and dry.
