LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Nigeria winger Samuel Chukuweze from Villarreal this summer. Chukwueze, who has scored three goals and recorded four assists for Villarreal this season has been linked with a number of top European sides.
Premier League clubs Chelsea and Liverpool are among the two clubs, who are reportedly interested in the the 21-year-old.
The versatile winger broke into Villarreal’s first team last season and was voted the club’s young player of the year at the end of the campaign.
According to Mundo
Deportivo, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone believes Chukwueze will fit perfectly into his project at the club.
Chukwueze will look to further enhance his reputation when Villarreal take on Barcelona at the El Madrigal stadium on Sunday.
