Afrobeat star, Mr Eazi, has stirred conversations online after announcing his readiness to run for the presidency of any African country in need of his leadership.
In a video shared on social media, the “Leg Over” hitmaker revealed that the time had come to share his political aspirations with his fans. He stressed that his ambition is not driven by wealth or power but by a desire to lead with integrity, innovation, and a forward-thinking mindset. Eyes Of Lagos reports,According to the singer, Africa is in dire need of young, visionary leaders capable of empowering citizens and driving meaningful change across the continent.
“I said it’s time to share it with you guys. Now, some of you might be from some countries, specifically in Africa, and you’re looking for a president. You’re looking for a young president, a president that’s not looking for money, that’s not looking for power, that’s forward-thinking, young, active, and that can move your country better. So, I’m officially putting myself forward for presidency of whatever country. If you know that your country needs me as their president, put the flag,” he declared.
The singer’s bold statement has since gone viral, with fans across different African countries dropping their national flags in the comments section to show support.
