The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the incumbent governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Biodun Oyebanji, the winner of the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election.
Announced by the INEC Returning Officer, Professor Adenike Oladiji, in the early hours of Sunday, June 21, 2026, Oyebanji secured a landslide victory across all 16 local government areas. This victory makes him the first governor in Ekiti State's history to be re-elected back-to-back
