Interesting Facts You Should Know About America Independence

Image may contain: text
America was colonized by Britain. On this day July 4, 1776, America gained Independence and ceased to be part of British Empire. Coincidentally, both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, the only signers of the Declaration of America’s Independence later served as Presidents of the United States, died on the same day: July 4, 1826, which was the 50th anniversary of the Declaration.

President, James Monroe, died on July 4, 1831, thus becoming the third President in a row who died on the holiday. Calvin Coolidge, the 30th America President, was born on July 4, 1872, and, so far, is the only U.S. President to have been born on Independence Day.
However, it should be noted that America gained independence through Revolution when it was tired of British Monarchy.
Thirteen American Colonies rejected the British monarchy and aristocracy, overthrew the authority of Great Britain, and founded the United States of America.
It may interest you to know that Britain used to be the WORLD POWER but today America is the current World Power. Superpower is a word used to describe a state with a dominant position in international relations and which is characterised by its unparalleled ability to exert influence or project power on a global scale. This is done through the combined-means of technological, cultural, military and economic strength, as well as diplomatic and soft power influence. Traditionally, superpowers are preeminent among the great powers. The Suez Crisis in 1956, which ended the British Empire's status as a superpower, and the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991 left the United States as the world's only superpower. As of 2016, this status remains unchanged.

The favourite food for the 4th of July is the Hot Dog. America consumes about 150 million hot dogs on this date.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY AMERICA.

ENDY WHY DO AMERICANS EAT HOT DOGS ON INDEPENDENCE DAY?

Endy Edeson

@JOHN
Every Independence Day, Nathan's Famous, a hot dog company, hosts an eating contest on Coney Island, in Brooklyn, New York. According to legend, it has hosted the competition almost every year on the Fourth of July since 1916. "To settle an argument over who was the most patriotic, legend has it that four immigrants held a hot dog eating contest at our famous Coney Island stand," Nathan's website says. "The story that I have heard forever is that there were four immigrants arguing over who was the most American on the Fourth of July," the president of Major League Eating, which runs Nathan's hot dog eating competition, told Smithsonian magazine.
